About us

There has been a garden center located on the property since the early 1900's. Over the years several Fairfield families have owned and operated the business. In August of 2022, Fairfield native James Philbin of JP Philbin Landscapes purchased Colonial Gardens. Since the purchase, James has updated the facility as well as added an extensive selection of trees and shrubs and now offers installation services. Colonial Gardens is a full service nursery, greenhouses, and floral design studio servicing all of Fairfield County and beyond.
